Do I need to purchase MS-SQL Server?

No, we include Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with PC AUDIT PRO.

I already have my own MS-SQL Server, can I use that?

Yes you can. Simply choose not to install MS-SQL 2008 Express during the install and when PC AUDIT PRO starts it will prompt you to identify the server you wish you use.

I already have my own MS-SQL Server Express, can I use that?

Yes, however, if downloaded directly from Microsoft, it will by default not be allowed to accept connections to the database from other PCs (see Microsoft KB Article 914277 for details on how to allow them). If PC AUDIT PRO installs MS-SQL Express 2008 for you, it will automatically make the required adjustments.

Does the PC AUDIT PRO console need to be on the same PC as the database?

No. These can be on different PCs. It is also possible to have multiple installations of the PC AUDIT PRO application on different PCs access the database at the same time

Will I need to register PC AUDIT PRO?

Yes. To register either enter your Performance-Applications.com user details into the registration box at startup, or contact your local support office.

What data does PC AUDIT PRO include?

As always, we’ve included an comprehensive set of product recognition rules (rebuilt from scratch, especially for PC AUDIT PRO), sample criteria and reports, to get you started. However we have now also included the optional inclusion of a few PCs worth of sample data and several suggested licence types.
